Hi !
You've stumbled upon the cruising page for Fat Chance. Fat Chance
is our 1984 Kadey Krogen Manatee
that we cruise on. This page is a way for our family, friends and readers to keep up with our antics and whereabouts, as well a site
for Manatee owners to see some of our projects and upgrades.
Life is short and precious so we're trying
our best to make the most of it by enjoying the things that we love.
Those things include traveling, seeing old friends, making new ones, boating, diving in warm
clear blue waters, good food... and the list goes on and on... Cruising ties all
of those things together for us, making it the dream that we work hard to sustain.
Hence, we're no longer going to blog about our
activities while cruising. After 4 years of blogging, our
readership #'s were going down from the thousands to the hundreds.
Can't blame them. The first couple of years the blogs were full of
humor and excitement (these can be found on the links page under "Cat's
Away" and "Felix". The last couple of years the blogging became
tedious for me and the writing reflects that a bit. So we've
decided to give it a rest. We'll keep the Projects page up to date
because many of the other Manatee owners and wannabe's like to peruse
these. As far as our families and friends... communication in the
Bahamas has improved and become much more affordable over the last few
years (and they should get even better now that Cable and Wireless finally
acquired controlling interest of the formerly government (read slow,
inefficient, expensive) run Bahamas Telephone Company).
So if you have just
found this page, there are 4 years worth of Bahamian/East coast cruising
stories with plenty of pictures and videos for you to enjoy. Have
fun! You can rest assured that we are!
Enjoy!
