Man
is time flying! Many of the cruisers have already left or are
leaving the Bahamas right now. While it seems like we just got
here, we only have a little over a month before we have to start
heading back. This last month was taken up by guests and the
preparations involved with that.
Since
the last log, we left out of George Town during our only visible weather
window to get up to the Staniel Cay area so that we could do laundry,
dive and get fish and lobster for our guests. Our friends
Deb
and Den flew their plane down to Ft. Pierce, then to Freeport and
finally into Staniel Cay. While they were here, we took them
through some of the islands in the Park where we dove several
places but will remember the submerged plane wreck with the 4 foot plus
turtle resting next to the wing. Of Course we also stopped at
Black Point and Little Farmers Cay for a Friday evening visit to Allies
bar. I won't bore anyone with stories of this area as I've covered
them in former logs as well as all of my former Web Pages.
After
Deb and Den left we had a couple of days to get back down to George Town
before Debs kids flew in. Their arrival was timed for the Bahamian
Music and Heritage Festival and we had good fun with that.
We tried to show the kids as much as time would allow. Once again
I've written SO much about George Town that I won't elaborate much here.
We've posted 80 some pictures AND if a picture is worth a thousand
words... well then I've already posted 80 some thousand words so I can
cop out of doing much here. We're in a hurry now to get this
posted as we had to go see friends up
Island
after the kids left and we just got back today. Tomorrow we need
to find Diesel fuel, get food and then take off to meet up with our
friends Tom and Amy down in the Crooked and Acklin Islands. So
enjoy the pictures as they will tell the story WAY better than my one
fingered typing ever could. Hopefully in a couple of weeks we'll
have pictures and stories about somewhere new and not bore you with the
same old... same old...
